FORM C ASSESSMENTS
What We Offer
Our Form C Assessments are designed for relatives or family friends who have stepped forward to care for a child known to them — often in response to a crisis or safeguarding concern. These assessments carefully explore the applicant’s ability to offer a safe, nurturing, and permanent home that meets the child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
Through structured interviews, home visits, and evidence-based assessment tools, our social work professionals evaluate the suitability, motivation, and resilience of the proposed carers. We focus on their capacity to protect, advocate for, and provide continuity for the child, while maintaining positive family and cultural connections.
What the assessment includes:
Comprehensive interviews and background checks with prospective carers
Assessment of home environment, safety, and support networks
Exploration of family history, relationships, and capacity for long-term care
Evaluation of parenting values, boundaries, and emotional availability
A clear and balanced report for local authority decision-making
Our aim is to ensure that kinship placements are safe, stable, and in the child’s best interests — supporting families to stay together wherever possible.
